Schedule An Inspection
A complete general home inspection helps:
- Provide assurance that you’ve made a sound buying decision.

- Give you valuable details about each aspect of your new home.
- Help reduce the risk of unwanted “surprises” after you move in.
- Alleviate buyer’s remorse.
Have Questions? These Will Help:
- Why should I have a professional home inspection?
A home purchase is one of the biggest investments you will ever make, and an inspection from AmeriSpec® helps provide the information you need to feel confident about it. After receiving our thorough, objective report detailing the home’s condition, you’ll be able to make a smart, informed decision.
- How long does an inspection take?
The process usually takes two to three hours depending on size, age and condition of the home and any additional services provided.
- Do I need to be present during the inspection?
Yes. The goal of a home inspection is not just to inspect the property, but also to educate the homeowner or potential buyer about the property’s condition. This is better achieved if you are present at the time of the inspection.
- How will the inspection help me determine the condition of the home?
During the course of the inspection, the inspector will explain the condition of the property. You will also be provided with the AmeriSpec Report to help you make an informed purchasing decision.
- What is included in The AmeriSpec Report?
The AmeriSpec Report is an easy-to-reference document detailing the condition of the home’s major areas (such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.). In addition, you’ll receive a Seasonal Maintenance Checklist with tips for keeping your home in shape, a do-it-yourself Home Repair Manual, and savings on home services from the ServiceMaster® Family of Brands.
- Why should I choose AmeriSpec over a local competitor?
Since its inception, AmeriSpec has conducted in excess of 1.5 million inspections. AmeriSpec has over 250 independently owned and operated businesses with insured, well-trained inspectors who perform an average of over 110,000 inspections annually in the U.S. and Canada.
- How qualified are AmeriSpec inspectors?
All of our inspectors are trained and certified to meet the highest industry standards. AmeriSpec offers the best education in the industry by combining classroom instruction and hands-on technical training in our state-of-the-art facility.
To enhance our classes, AmeriSpec uses a complete educational training system developed specifically for us by Carson Dunlop and Associates, one of the most respected names in professional home inspection training.
AmeriSpec also takes continuing education seriously. Technical training classes are held periodically throughout the year to educate our franchise owners about new inspection services we offer.
- Being Present During Inspections
It is especially important to be present during our inspection. By accompanying the inspector, you will have the opportunity to:
-See the condition of key components throughout the house and property firsthand, giving you a better understanding of your home and of the resulting inspection report.
-Ease any concerns about findings which may seem distressing on paper but are in fact superficial. For example, the inspector might explain that inexpensive lubricant can quiet an alarming appliance noise or that an unsightly column needs only a coat of paint.
-Have all of your questions and concerns addressed immediately as they arise.
Prior to the inspection, please prepare a list of any questions or concerns you may have about the property, and communicate those issues to us in advance to ensure they will be properly addressed (and that any necessary special arrangements can be made). Please bring your list to the inspection as well.
